Since 1996 Data Interface Ltd has been providing IT solutions to improve the productivity of adviser processes. Over time this broadened to include providing a range of data services to Providers, IT System suppliers, Networks and IFA groups. Since 2003 we have been evolving our Tablet PC based mobile working solution (Adviser Interface) and providing consultancy services with a particular focus on the IT infrastructure required to transform the end to end advisory sales process.
Due to increasing regulation, costs and competition the Financial Services industry is going through a major period of change which is affecting all industry participants. The new propositions that are emerging are being enabled by IT business process re-engineering.
However, many firms have been slow to embrace these new propositions and ways of working. Part of the resistance is due to concern that the new propositions do not fully deliver the promised service benefits and cost and time efficiencies. A second major factor is that migration from the firm's current position often seems too expensive and organisationally difficult.
Both of these views are often valid, yet taking a wait and see
approach is an equally dangerous strategy.
